About the Lake George Star Fleet

The fleet has the perfect balance of relaxed fun and spirited competition. The fleet has had, and still has, many families and generations of families sailing in the weekend races. Spouses, father-son, father-daughter, and brothers and sisters racing together.

Races are held Saturday and Sunday mornings in July and August. Trophies are awarded for each month and the season. For the 2015 sailing season, the fleet added a mid-summer series of three races on the last weekend of July. There are currently about 6 active boats racing.

The fleet sails at the Northern Lake George Yacht Club (NLGYC) in Hague, New York. In addition to the Stars, Thistles, Lasers, FJs, N10s and Optis race each weekend. Please visit the NLGYC website to learn more.
